I am running eight bots with the sonic script. I’m constantly getting “your position in queue is x”. I’ve read this is kind of a temporary ban that Blizzard pushes out. I found something where people suggest increasing the game times to random variables across all accounts to minimize this from happening? Will this work? If not, how can I correct this?
MinGameTime settings can be found in your D2BotSonic.dbj. The default value is 300 (seconds), which is totally fine for one sonic bot on one IP and one key. Beyond that you could basically just multiply that 300 by 8 and should have no issues, but dropping below those numbers will be more and more risky unless you are using multiple IPs.
The problem with running a ton of sonics on one IP is that they sometimes spend 30mins in a run, and other times die 10x in a row making 2min games each time which will quickly add up to temp bans if you have that happening across 8 bots.
Position in queue is generally a direct translation to number of seconds before the temp ban lifts - let this happen too frequently and you’ll see numbers in the tens of thousands of seconds, most likely followed by an even harsher ban.
