Bot limits on bnet to prevent realm down/temp ban?

Hey guys,

I recently came back to D2 after several years. I ran kukbot back in 2012 or so and see now that the current bot people use is kolbot.

I followed some video guides and got it all set up and working properly. Great success. I had two sets of keys so I decided to gear up a 2nd bot account and got both bots running simultaneously on one pc. Everything was good for a few days.

The lure of the loot was so strong that I decided to buy a 3rd set of keys to run a 3rd instance of Diablo to actually play via sandboxie ( all on the same pc) while both bots were running. This is where I ran into trouble: while playing on my main acct, I encountered the ~3hr temp ban which causes a 10k+ queue to create games and won’t allow joining. So I waited this out and decided to not push it with a 3rd instance.

Both bots ran again overnight and all day but when I logged in to mule off the loot, I must have joined games to fast and I got this same temp ban again. I had gear on the ground that I didn’t want to lose to I tried nordvpn to get into the game to save my stuff. This lead to a situation now where I get “you were disconnected from battle.net, please reconnect,” which from what I gather is a 48 hour temp ban probably from vpn use? I’m not sure.

It’s been about 24 hours and I still have the same issue.

I’m hoping this will work itself out in another day. Does that seem reasonable?

Should I modify my behaviour in a specific way (obviously not using vpn) to prevent this from happening in the future?

I tried using a proxy once and got banned for 2 weeks… I hear only residential proxies work which I tried using and is what i got the banned using. After getting banned for 2 weeks i decided not to try again. Some people are out there using them so they are out there just need the right one i guess. A vpn is a guaranteed instaban from what i hear… you don’t need sandboxie to play manually… just create another profile and put d2botmap as entrypoint… if u don’t want maphack and I’m sure there is a better way but you can use blank as an entrypoint and then hit pause once u enter the game… hit insert while in game if u decide you do want maphack

You can find more info on blizzard bans on here but i think basicly don’t join 5 games in a minute. Don’t make more than 20 games in an hour and don’t play for more than 16 hours a day… something like that.
