I cracked this dicks crappy autohotkey pindlebot that he was charging people 70$ for.
link for the discord where you can download .ahk and get instructions are in the description, don’t have to watch video… it was just my middle finger to him for being a dick… …(free pindlebot for d2r - YouTube)
it’s pretty crappy, the guy is pretty shitty at ahk… but it stashes your items and works halfay ok. we’re already making it better though.
Didn’t hear anything about any d2 stuff being charged. I know he made a be-all end-all hack (forget what it was called) near the end. Roughly around the time with AO bot (after ejact, CTS-AE, etc…) started doing some bluevex stuff as well (there was an alternative to redvex still connecting thru ur 127.0.0.1 with alternative hacks) and started releasing multi windowed clients linked to serial keys in dedicated mpqs. Never got a chance to test it out, but heard it was good. I think he kept it more private.
But yeah, no… I heard when starcraft 2 was released he was selling a maphack or something for it for money and that’s when blizzard finally charged him.
I know the original EoN had cease and desist orders, but nothing fully finalized I don’t think.
I know they were reverse engineering battle.net 2.0 back when SC2 was in beta, but yeah… is what it is.
There was actually an article released roughly back around 2016 or so when all this was going down. I forget when exactly, old news.
I haven’t seen the article about sheppard/sc2 maphack getting charged.
I was on eon/bh when rob got the knock (server emulation), but I haven’t been on eon (or here) in a VERY long time. Eon has been dead for fucking ages, literally nothing was going on there other than some sort of AMA with an ex-d2 artist or something, I remember DM fishing him out of somewhere.
To all the oldies there, if there’s anyone left: prices be falls.
