Note: after the Beta version was released on 13th Aug 2021, these things are useless.
D2RModding will download the latest version, with bnet app in use.
atm d2r servers are often crashing, and the game became unplayable on some hours.
I discovered that the d2r is maybe the one game which should be re-installed if you upgrade your video card.
Until recently I used only Intel(R) HD Graphics 630 (Integrated Graphic Display on on i7-7700 3.6 GHz motherboard) with 1 GB RAM, and it was ok for most of the blizz games, even the lower graphic settings had to be selected.
I upgraded my PC with GTX 1050 Ti 4GP LP and a new monitor, but d2r still had a lot of area video errors.
Finally I erased it, and a new install worked correctly with higher settings.
Also, with multiple video adapters you can get errors when you run d2r.
But d2r servers became unstable very often, and even offline games/playing become very lagging.
If at this time I cannot run one instance decently, why should I buy another d2r license?
Maybe using a virtual machine is ok to have 2 instances of battlenet and d2r running.
Sandboxie cannot be used because the data game is too large.
With yesterday new patch, the battlenet queue, it took for me 10-15 min only to connect to a battlenet server, where I cannot play at all because of higher lagg. The character moves are sequential, … so unplayable.
At this moment, D2R seems to be more like a waste of time.
the first announces for D2R were about its release on 31st December 2021.
In Alpha-test period they changed the release date to 23rd September. Maybe it was too soon.
They apply patches from time to time.
We’ll see when the first ladder will be available.
