How to debug D2BS?

I believe there are many persons who want to know how to debug D2BS. I only found the steps

But it is clear that the steps were neither clear nor executable. If you debugged D2BS, I hope you could introduce the steps (if can, the best is with pictures).

Did you meet with “no symbols” when debugging D2BS?

When I want to debug the D2BS using vs (2010 or 2012), the breakpoint always will not be currently hit.

Did you meet with it? If did, could you tell me how to fix it?
